How Much to Pay For Missed Days

al-Salām ‘alaykum – some of you were asking about how much is the fidyah, the amount given/paid for days missed while fasting in Ramaḍān. Here’s the official amount as provided by the Fiqh Council of North America:
“[The] Fidyah amount is recommended to be $15 in 2025.”
We will provide the recommended local amount (for SoCal) shortly for Zakāh al-Fiṭr.
